Analog Evolution

Since the dawn of the digital age people have become more and more disconnected from each other. AE Games strives to bring groups of people closer together to, laugh, enjoy stories, and match wits in a social environment. Tabletop gaming used to be a staple of home entertainment. Unfortunately this tradition of gaming has really fallen off the map with the introduction of video games in the home. But as every industry finds out eventually the content becomes over streamlined and stale. This opens the door for new ideas or re-imagining of old ones. We at AE Games feel that this trend is going to swing back the other direction and people will rediscover what is at the heart of tabletop gaming...A sense of connection, interaction, and community. Our goal is to provide fun, creative, new concepts and game mechanics to keep the genre fresh and engaging. When the trend swings back to tabletop games we want to be here to see it and help fuel the evolution

Weekly update. Here is a small selection of art from our encounter cards. There are over 120 unique encounter cards. And they are on track for completion at the end of this week. I figured I would post up some art from the cards to give you an idea of the flavor of the game.

Westerly Update!!!

Westerly is progressing nicely. We have just received our first production quality prototype to play test and we just need to make some final tweaks to the game mechanic to ensure proper balance. The major component we are hard at work on right now is the illustrations for all the encounter cards. There are over 120 unique encounter cards in the game and each one has its own original illustration. A huge undertaking for our two fantastic illustrators in a short time frame. We should have all the art ready to go by our next play test date July 27th. I will post up some of the artwork so you can get a sense of what the game components will look like. I will also put up some pictures this weekend of all the components that arrived in the box.

Signed Munchkin Giveaway has begun!

Hello Everyone,

I will try my best to keep this brief and to the point.

Free Stuff!.....Ok maybe to brief.

I wanted to reach out to the community and offer up a portion of my Steve Jackson autographed Munchkin collection. I have a number of signed copies that I would like to see go to good homes. I know there are a lot of die hard Munchkin fans out there and I know that a signed copy would probably make your day! The games are out of their outer shrink wrap of course in order to be signed however the internal game parts are all unopened sealed in the original packaging.

Why would I just give these away? Well I have been a Steve Jackson fan for a long time and I have been inspired by his work and his latest creation. It is absurdly large and it looks fantastic. I got to see it in person the other day during a demo with Mr Jackson.

I have always been a gamer and for years have been making games to play with my gaming group and close circle of friends. After seeing first hand what is possible by crowd sourcing with Ogre and many other kick starter projects I have decided to gather my resources and take a shot at one of my life long dreams. To bring a couple of my creations to to the masses and see where it goes. The only guarantee in life is that if you don't reach for the stars and try, you are certain to never succeed.

In order for me to get started properly I need to get to know the larger gaming community. So I wanted to connect with anyone and everyone in the community and figured what better way to get connected then to give away something I think is really very cool. Nothing more nothing less.

So I am offering up one Steve Jackson signed Munchkin game per month.
To enter send an email that says "Munchkin Giveaway" to:
docroygamer@gmail.com

This way I know your not a robot...those robots can't be trusted, they have a shady history of going all berserker when you least expect it.

I will not give your email address to anyone else ever. This is not for spam or fishing or any other nefarious use you can think of. It is purely just a starting developer trying to connect with like minded gamers and game creators.

I will post a video of the drawing so you know it is legit and announce the randomly selected winner each month. I will then contact the winner directly via email for shipping info.

You only need to send one email and if you do not win that month I will keep your name in the hat for all the other drawings so with one email you have a bunch of chances to win. I have enough signed different versions of Munchkin to run this giveaway for at least the next 3-5 months depending on interest level. If the first 3 months is a total bust and there is not a lot of interest I will probably hold onto the remaining copies for my son's. If there is a lot of interest I will run the giveaway for as long as possible...basically until I run out of signed copies.

Thanks in advance for your consideration and I hope to see your email

Keep gaming and living without regrets.
